SUMMARY:Grand Teton National Park Camp and Paddle 2026
DESCRIPTION:Description:\nThis is a group camping trip with day paddles on lakes and rivers in Grand Teton National Park.  The Group #8 campsite\, Coulter Bay Campground Road\, has a maximum of 25 people.  Tents and a few smaller RVs will fit\, but people are asked to carpool with two sets of saddles\, please. \nHard shell kayaks are best\, but other craft may work depending on the weather and where you are paddling.  Hiking opportunities also abound. Members from Rocky Mountain Sea Kayak Club and the Houston Association of Sea Kayakers will join RMCC members on this trip.  Everyone must be current annual ACA members.  Event ACA Memberships/Waivers not allowed. \nDaily Plans:\nOnce at the campground we will meet in the evening and plan who paddles where when the next day.  Participants need to arrive having read Paddling Yellowstone and the Tetons and have ideas about where they want to paddle. \nCampsite Costs:\nContact Sue Hughes (suehughes@yahoo.com) and make arrangement to pay by Venmo or check.  The cost is $121 ($17 a night with tax).  You will not be registered until you have paid. \nOther costs:\nYou’ll need a Wyoming AIS decal\, which can be obtained online for $15 for nonresidents.  You will also need to get a Tetons non-motorized boat permit for $25.  They can be ordered online at rec.gov which is so much better than having to get to the park early enough to get one in person the day before our first paddle. ACA membership and annual waiver required.  Send a photo of your ACA card and waiver to Sue Hughes. \nInspiration:\nCheck out these two trip reports.  You will know you want to come. \nGrand Teton 2021 \nGrand Teton 2015 \n\n\nLocation\n\n\nCoulter Bay Group Campground #8\nCoulter Bay\n100 Colter Bay Campground Road\nMoran\, WY  83013\nUSA\n307-543-2811\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Contact(s)\nSue Hughes\nCampground Organizer\n720-979-3542 (c)\nSuehughes@yahoo.com\n\nLeslie C Taylor\nAssistant Paddle Organizer\n970-413-3884 (c)\nlesliecopelandt@gmail.com\n\n\n\nSafe Paddling\nTo keep our events both fun and safe for everyone\, each participant needs to have the skills and the equipment appropriate to the waters and the weather.  Each participant is the first judge of whether they have the skills and equipment necessary\, but trip coordinators have the final say. Please read the RMCC Requirements and Recommendations for ACA-Sanctioned Events
