SUMMARY:Colorado River - Ruby and Horsethief Canyons
DESCRIPTION:Join RMCC for an early-season paddle down one of our favorite stretches of river.  We’ll be doing lots of hiking this trip\, so bring your daypack and hiking boots!  Please note that this trip was previously posted as taking place on 4/22-25\, but is now scheduled for 4/23-26. \nProposed Itinerary: \nDay 0: Get at least one car at the end. \nDay 1: If no time to do a car shuttle prior day\, arrange for a service to shuttle cars to end ($90+).  Paddle to Mee Canyon or Mee Corner and set up camp. (13 miles paddle) \nDay 2: hike as far up Mee Canyon as possible.  Overnight in same place. (no paddling) \nDay 3: Paddle to Knowles 1.   Set up camp at Knowles 1 (mile 18.3).  View petroglyphs in canyon on river right at mile 18.1. Hike up Knowles Canyon in afternoon.  (5 miles paddle) \nDay 4: Paddle to Westwater and drive home. (7 miles paddle) \nThis is an ACA-sanctioned event requiring either ACA membership or a single-event ACA membership fee of $5 per person.  This event is full – contact Candace if you’d like to be placed on a waitlist.
