DESCRIPTION:The RMCC Annual Planning and Permit Party Meeting (PPP) will be held in-person Sunday\, January 8\, 2023 from 1:30-4:30 pm at the Greenway Park Clubhouse:  110 Greenway Drive\, Broomfield\, CO 80020 — Greenway Park Clubhouse Map. \nThis will be an Appetizer/Dessert Potluck.  Zoom participation will be available during the more formal presentation at 2:30 pm. A Zoom link will be sent out prior to the meeting. \n  \nThere will be time to socialize\, and eat\, while we mingle and talk informally about possible trips of interest for 2023–permitted or not (1:30-2:30). Then there will be a more formal discussion\, presentation\, question and answer time (2:30 – 4 pm-ish). Depending on available time\, we may have a bit more social time–perhaps with more dessert! \n  \nWe can use a few volunteers to help with set-up and clean up. Please contact Brookie if you are willing to come a little early (1 pm) and stay a little late (5pm).

Last year we added three new faces to the board as members stepped up to replace our retiring officers (Brookie Gallagher as Tripmaster\, Miry Broughall as Quartermaster\, and John Licht as Treasurer) and filled new needs (Anne Fiore as Conservation Coordinator and Miry as Boat Master\, a role she had taken on during the 2021 season). \nWe always appreciate new blood as it brings with it new energy and ideas. \nAll of the 2022 officers have agreed to serve another one-year term — if re-elected at our meeting — BUT: \n  \nIf you are interested in considering a leadership role in the club\, please see the description of our officer positions. SUMMARY:2018 Planning and Permit Party: Broomfield Jan 13
DESCRIPTION:January 13 from 1:30 – 4:40 — if you love canoeing be sure to put this meeting on your calendar. This is the time RMCC members\, family and guests come together to learn about possible canoe trips and classes and help determine the club’s 2018 event calendar. Trip coordinators are recruited and dates selected. (Popular trips often fill up during this party.) Many multi-day trips require permits and the odds of getting a permit increases considerably if a group of people put in for the same dates. So time will be given at the end of the meeting for people wishing to register for the same permitted trip so they can plan and coordinate possible dates. For the list of river and lake trips RMCC has offered in previous years including the ones that require a permit click the following link: List of Permit and non-permit rivers \nRegister by emailing Kit Williams (kitrynwilliams@gmail.com) the names of the people who will be attending so she can print name tags. This is also an excellent meeting for people who are not members of RMCC but wish to know more about the club and its activities. If you can’t attend\, consider sending Kit the names of the trips in which you are interest so the trip coordinators can add you to their list of possible participants. The party will be held in Broomfield\, plan on bringing an appetizer or snack and a beverage of your choice. The party is being held at: \nGreenway Park Clubhouse\n110 Greenway Drive\, Broomfield\, Co  80020\nIt is in Broomfield one block south of 120th Avenue and a short block East of Main St. \nFor those of you wonderful volunteers who are willing to be a trip coordinator or co-coordinator in 2018\, please let Kit know which trips you wish to lead and possible dates. We are also taking names of people interested in being mentored by a more experienced paddler with the intention of leading RMCC excursions in upcoming years.
