SUMMARY:RMCC Radium Rendezvous Aug 6 - 8  2021
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the annual summer RMCC get-together! Day trips\, camp cooking competition\, potluck supper\, pancake breakfast\, etc. Trips available for all skill levels (Class I\, Class II\, and Class III).  This will be an ACA-sanctioned outing/event which requires EITHER ACA membership OR a $5/person insurance fee and helmets for all Class II sections and above. \nDue to space limitations\, tent camping for the weekend: no RVs or trailers and all cars must be parked to take up minimum space. \nLet me know if you’re coming to this great weekend event – an accurate roster means we’ll have enough supplies on hand! \nCheck out the flyer  RMCC-Annual-Rendezvous-flyer-1 especially if you’re new to Rendezvous – lots of essential information. \nThis event is only possible with the assistance of many volunteers so if you’d like to help with one of the following\, please let Bill know: be a Trip Coordinator for one of the Sat or Sunday runs; partner with a beginner or novice; set up and take down the group canopy (Fri night and Sunday after breakfast); loan a Dutch oven to a novice; help with the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday; help organize the Dutch oven competition; bring supplies for group supper; bring firewood and manage a fire; and site clean-up and trash removal on Sunday morning. \nContact Event Coordinator Bill Ashworth\, 720-352-6456  washwort at gmail.com if you plan on joining us for this fun filled weekend.

SUMMARY:Boundary Waters Canoe Area\, MI
DESCRIPTION:The world renown Boundary Waters Canoe Area encompasses over 1 million acres that houses thousands of lakes and includes over 1200 miles of canoe routes. We will be entering Entry Point 27 – Snow Lake. The trip loop route will travel from Snowbank Lake through Parent Lake\, Disappointment Lake with a series of smaller lakes and a series of portages to Gibson Lake.  From Gibson Lake the returning route can be either through Ensign\, Newfound and out Moose Lake or back across Snowbank Lake to the beginning.  We have five days to complete the recommended three days for the trip\, allowing some time to explore the area. \nThe Permit Fees are $6.00 plus $16.00 per Adult for the trip. The required $38.00 (two adults fee) deposit was paid to secure the entry point permit. A Interagency Senior Pass discount of $8.00 per card is available if the pass is presented to the outfitter agent before August 8th. \nEveryone needs to arrive in Ely at the permit Agent on Aug 8 and the trip will run from Aug 9 to the 13th. Group Size Limits: 9 people with 4 canoes (8 paddlers plus one rider) Trip Coordinator spot #one  plus 8 spots for the permit. Only one tandem canoe spot left (two paddlers).  Details for the trip will be provided to anyone interested in joining the trip. \nTo register or for further information contact Louise Richards\, louisemrichards@aol.com \nThis is an RMCC/ACA sponsored event so an additional $10 insurance fee will be required for those who are not members of ACA. If you are a member\, please send Louise your ACA membership number before the trip.
