SUMMARY:Demo Day and Pot Luck
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS FULL AND A WAITING LIST HAS BEEN STARTED. Please contact Kit Williams at kitrynwilliams@gmail.com if you wish to be added to the waiting list. \nSaturday\, April 29 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lagerman Lake\, Longmont \nHosted by Rocky Mountain Canoe Club\, Poudre Paddlers\, and the Rocky Mountain Sea Kayak Club \nWho doesn’t like swapping information with other people about their boats—what makes it the best thing since sliced bread or what to avoid when buying this boat—and then getting the chance to paddle it? Three clubs (Rocky Mountain Canoe Club\, Poudre Paddlers\, and the Rocky Mountain Sea Kayak Club) are giving you the chance to do just that with numerous paddle crafts that may include: solo and tandem canoes\, sea kayaks\, whitewater kayaks\, SUPs\, inflatable boats\, and packrafts. \nWe invite you to bring your boat (or boats) to Demo Day and to talk about it to other participants\, and then give them the opportunity to try out it out on the lake. There will be a designated area of the lake where people can paddle various water crafts with a safety boater nearby. When not supervising others who are using your boat\, you will have a chance to learn and try out other people’s boats and paddling gear. A group pot luck will begin at 11:30\, offering another opportunity to share paddling experiences and opportunities with your fellow boaters. \nCost: For insurance purposes this is an ACA (American Canoe Association) event. Demo Day is free if you are a current ACA member (you must provide your ACA number) or $10 for people who are not an ACA member. \nPre-registration is required. Parking is limited so please consider registering early and carpooling to the event. Email Kit Williams at kitrynwilliams@gmail.com to sign up for Demo Day and include \n\nYour name\, phone number\, and email address\nIf you are an ACA member please provide your ACA membership number\na list of everyone in your party\nthe boat or boats you plan to bring as well as any other gear you want to show at this event.\n\nWe also need people to be safety boaters for an hour so be sure to let us know if you are willing to be a volunteer safety boater.
