Hi RMCC Paddlers!
Are you ready to get onto the water? We are! Below are the trips we’d like to take and HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
- If you want to join one of the permitted river trips, you need to apply for a permit!
- Do you want to do one of the non-permitted trips? E-mail the Trip Coordinator to let them know.
- Are you interested in doing any of the trips that don’t have a date or TC yet? Contact us at [email protected] and let us know. Hey, better yet – offer to TC one!
WE’RE GOING TO APPLY FOR THESE PERMITS:
1. Rio Chama: 1st choice date July 4th (2nd choice June 27th, 3rd choice July 11th)
To apply, contact Karen Amundson ([email protected]) or the Taos BLM office (575-758-8851) for a postcard and mail it in. Your application must be postmarked no later than January 31st.
2. San Juan (Mexican Hat to Clay Hills Crossing): 1st choice date Aug. 31 to Sept. 5th (2nd choice Sept. 1st to Sept. 6th)
See the BLM’s Monticello office website for instructions. Your application needs to be in before February 1st. Contact Karen Amundson ([email protected]) with questions.
3. Middle Salmon:
Richard Ferguson is holding a permit for September 25th. Contact Richard ([email protected]) if you think you’re up for this Class IV trip!
Permit applications for the Chama and the San Juan lotteries are due in just 5 days, SO GET THOSE APPLICATIONS IN!
