UPCOMING TRIPS:
First, a reminder that there’s still room in both the Memorial Day trips – the Niobrara in Nebraska) and the San Raphael in Utah/White in Colorado depending on water level. Basic info and contact information is linked on the calendar.
Note on the Niobrara: I’m the coordinator for that trip but I’ll be out of the country before the trip. Therefore, be sure to copy Richard Ferguson ([email protected]) if you email me about the trip.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Our long-serving newsletter editor Jeanne Willson retired last season and we’ve not been able to find a replacement. And so, until we do, our non-urgent communication to members will be through 3 methods, and all of these are interactive. That is you can read and write to other interested members. Number One: via the Forum section of this club website. You don’t need to be registered on the site to read the Forums but you will to register to create a posting. Registration is quick. In the forums (and in methods Number Two and Three) you’ll find information about Trip Reports, Conservation News, Boats and Equipment for sale, and Informal (non-club) paddle trips. Number Two: our Facebook page. Just type in Rocky Mountain Canoe Club and then “like” us. And finally, Number Three: our listserv at indra. Webmaster Anne posted an article about this last winter which explains how to register this listserv. Here’s a link: https://rockymountaincanoeclub.net/2014/01/27/reviving-indra-listserv-rmcc/
OPTING OUT OF THE CLUB ROSTER:
This is just a reminder that we’ll be emailing a pdf Club Roster in early June to all 2014 registered members. All current names will be listed UNLESS you choose to OPT OUT. So, if you don’t want your contact information made available to other members, be sure to contact me before the end of June.
