Jul 17 – Drive to Flaming Gorge. Dennis camped at the Buckboard Crossing Campground. I did a dispersed camp that was a 10 minute paddle from the Buckboard boat ramp.
Jul 18 – Paddled from Buckboard to Blacks Fork and up that arm. A 5 hour paddle out and back.
Jul 19 – Paddled from Buckboard south and explored 2 arms of lake. A short day, about 3.5 hours of paddling.
Jul 20 – Drove to Brinegar Crossing ( AKA Holmes Crossing ). Paddled from Brinegar into the arms south of Brinegar. A 4.724 hour paddle.
Jul 21 – Dennis headed back home. I hung around and bicycled a bit. We were all back home on Jul 21.
It was quite warm but pleasant on the lake.
Not much boat traffic.
We were on the water by 9 – 10 each day and did not encounter any wind issues while on the lake, though the wind did pick up about 4 in the afternoon each day.
