Less than a week to Rendezvous. Register if you want any additional updates (by email) as this is my last post. We have 40 registered so far. See the Rendezvous Flier for most detail, but a few updates here:
Friday Boating: Register by Sunday night, July 28 to have input on Friday run(s)/timing/meeting place(s)
ANY Boating: Note that there is really only ONE strictly Class I run in the area; See the end of the Rendezvous Flier for a list of runs, their mileages and classes. Helmets and flotation required for Class II or higher or at discretion of the run coordinator for I+. Don’t even think about boating with us without wearing a PFD.
Radium Reminders:
- DRY CAMP — bring ALL your own water
- Dogs allowed — on leash or in immediate control by owner (no wandering about the area unattended)
- Plenty of tent camp space (2 group areas and 8 individual shared sites), but parking will be tight — Only one vehicle space per party at the group sites until we know if we have room for everyone. Extra vehicles park in overflow areas. No camping/sleeping in overflow area vehicles. No parking on the grass (as we did last year!); no extending into the roadway.
- Fire Restrictions — None as of 7 27 24
Saturday Activities:
- BOATING!! Runs TBD; Could use more coordinators (Always!)
- RMCC T-shirt sales – $15 cash/check
- Knot Tying Circle and Rope Throw Practice with happy hour
- Canoe Art — TBD, stay tuned
- Potluck dinner with Cooking Competition – loaner DOs available, if reserved ahead; bring reusable dishes/utensils to minimize waste
