Rio Chama

This year, we were fortunate to have won a permit for this wonderful Wild and Scenic river! The Rio Chama flows through the beautiful red rock country of northern New Mexico. This is a 3-day permitted trip with some challenging Class III rapids. We will launch on Friday to take advantage of the releases from El Vado reservoir and camp 2 nights.

If flows are insufficient, we’ll run the Rio Grande River from Espanola to Cochiti Reservoir.

This is an ACA-sanctioned outing/event which requires EITHER ACA membership OR a $5/person ACA fee.
