July 2015 Rendezvous is a go! The water came down as hoped over the weekend and the flow is below 3000 cfs this morning (2700 cfs in fact). We’ve got 30 folks signed up so far with more on the way so come on down! Do keep in mind though that we’ll be looking at a higher flow than usual; since 2000, the average flow at Rendezvous has been about 1000 cfs and the highest flow we’ve boated at was 1650 in 2008. So pick your runs with that in mind. We’ll likely a flow of around 2500 this weekend. IF the level spikes up to over 3000 at the end of the week, the event will be postponed to the end of August. Also, the potluck dinner on Saturday night with the Dutch Oven cooking competition is a highlight of the weekend with prizes for best DO main dish, DO side dish, DO dessert, and NON-DO dish. If you’d like to borrow a Dutch Oven, you’ll have to let me know in advance.
We have 3 boats already signed up for Louise’s Class I clinic with two more spaces available. First come, first served. Let me know.
