ACA Introduction to Canoeing: Instructor Development and Certification Workshop (IDW/ICE) – for people wanting to become canoe instructors. (April 8 & 9, Soda Lakes) – Jeff Oxenford, joxenford@comcast.net

South Platte: Brighton to Fort Lupton (April 15, Class II) – a good early season day trip to limber up those canoeing muscles. Trip Coordinator: Mat Bozek, matbozekx@gmail.com (register after April 9)

Yampa: South Beach to Duffy Mountain (May 5,6 & 7, Class I) – canoe on this delightful easy portion of the Yampa near Craig, Colorado. Co-Coordinators: Dan Custer custer.dan@gmail.com &Karen Amundson canoekarena@msn.com

McIntosh Lake (May 20, meet at 9:30 am) – a early season flat water trip, perfect for fine tuning your canoe skills. Trip Coordinator: Anne Fiore – anne_fiore@yahoo.com

Rio Grande near Taos (Memorial Weekend May 26-28, Class II) – day trips in Rio Grande del Norte National Monument.  Co-coordinators: Doug Hurcomb, dhurcomb@msn.com & Merlin Wheeler, corivers@centurytel.net

Niobrara (Memorial weekend, May 26-28, Class I) –day trips down one of America’s scenic heritage waterways. Trip Coordinator: Bill Ashworth, washwort@gmail.com

White River: Rangely to Enron Gas Wells (Memorial Weekend May 26-28, Class II) – a 3 day, 2 night river camping trip just west of Rangely, CO. Trip Coordinator: Mat Bozek, matbozekx@gmail.com (register after April 9)

Gross Reservoir: (Sat June 3) – a half-day paddle on a local reservoir above Boulder. Trip Coordinator: Bill Ashworth, washwort@gmail.com

Green/Colorado, Mineral bottom to Spanish Bottom (June 1-8, Class I) – canoe camping trip down the  Green River through Canyonlands National Park. Trip Coordinator: Judy Moisey Asay, Judy.Moisey-Asay@va.gov

Boat Rigging & Packing (June 10 workshop in Boulder) – learn how to rig your boat and pack for a canoe camping trip.  Instructor: Bill Ashworth, washwort@gmail.com

Yampa through Dinosaur National Monument (July 13-17, 2017, class III-IV) – an exciting trip down the Yampa through Dinosaur NM’s canyon country. Trip Coordinator: Lynne Carpenter, lynnecarpenter@gmail.com

North Platte River: Glendo to Guernsey in Wyoming (July 15-16,  Class 1+) – camp at Glendo Reservoir and spend the day paddling to Guernsey and join in the potluck afterwards. Trip Coordinator: Bill Ashworth, washwort@gmail.com

North Platte: Saratoga to I-80 (July 21, 22 & 22, Class I) –a canoe camping trip through beautiful Wyoming landscape. Trip Coordinator:  Judy Moisey Asay, Judy.Moisey-Asay@va.gov

Colorado: Rendezvous (August 5 &6, multi trips to choose from) – RMCC’s annual gathering with trips for all levels down the Colorado River, fantastic food, and time to hang out with friends. Coordinator: Bill Ashworth, washwort@gmail.com

Missouri National Recreation River (August 13-18, class I) – Paddle two class I sections of the Missouri River in Northwest Nebraska. Trip Coordinator: Mat Bozek, matbozekx@gmail.com (register after April 9)

Yellowstone: Lewis & Shoshone Lakes (August23-26) –a back country canoe camping adventure in Yellowstone with a hike around Shoshone Geyser Basin. Trip Coordinator: Katheryn Mutz, Kathryn.mutz@colorado.edu

Quetico Provincial Park – (August 29-Sptember 10) – you can choose to spend 5, 7 or 13 days paddling in this world renowned Canadian park.  Trip Coordinator: Ken Wenker, wenker@comcast.net

Colorado River: Loma to Westwater/Ruby Horsethief  (September 23-24,  class I+) – see red rock canyons and fall color down this beautiful stretch of the Colorado River. Trip Coordinator: Bill Ashworth, washwort@gmail.com

 Gunnison River (Sept 30 – Oct 1, Class II) – a river camping trip that can be run in 2 days or people can choose a 3 day trip with a leisurely hike up Big Dominguez Canyon. Trip Coordinator: Dan Custer, custer.dan@gmail.com
