Good time had by all: Joint Club Paddling Trip: Lonetree State Wildlife Area — Sunday, March 25th

Thirty-0ne boats and about 40 paddlers from the RMCC, the Flatwater Frogs, Rocky Mountain Sea Kayak Club, Poudre Paddlers and a few others had a delightful morning paddle on Lonetree reservoir north of Berthoud, Colorado. The weather was great, snacks delicious, and a bit of wildlife — one great blue heron, an immature bald eagle, and a variety of waterfowl.  It was a bit too early for nesting herons.

Good to see those that made it and looking forward to seeing you all this summer.

We hear that the reservoir changes management by July 1 with no specific information on how it will be managed and whether or not there will be an entrance fee.  So enjoy this lovely place before it changes (for better or worse.)
