RMCC Members:
We hope you have noticed a couple of changes on the website and posts regarding cancellation of individual scheduled trips and trainings. But we also wanted to make the club’s position more explicit: We are supporting the pleas (and state requirements) for social distancing and hoping that it will help keep ourselves and others from experiencing or spreading the Covid-19 virus. While boating on our western waters is important to mind and body, those pesky, all-too-cozy car shuttles might be hazardous to our health.
To date, we have cancelled all RMCC trips/events up through Governor Polis’ April 11th emergency “Stay at Home” order and are likely to add cancellations (e.g., the Gunnison trip) as the governor extends his order or as the board or individual trip/event coordinators decide to cancel other scheduled events.
Please stay tuned to club sponsored events via our website’s event calendar or contact individual trip coordinators for specific event information. The GoogleGroup listserv remains open for communicating with your fellow members, but if you use it to plan personal “pick-up” outings, please be mindful of the importance of social distancing for our community welfare.
And Stay Healthy — for many more weeks, months and years of boating to come!
