We have an exciting variety of tandem and solo canoes, sea kayaks, whitewater kayaks, and other paddle crafts that you will be able to try out at the Demo Day and Pot Luck, Saturday April 29th from 9:00-1:00. Because the event is being held at Lagerman Reservoir in Longmont group liability insurance is required. Insurance coverage is being provided by ACA (American Canoe Association) so the cost of the event has been changed: there is no cost for people who are already members of ACA and $10 for all non ACA members.
We invite you to bring your boat (or boats) to Demo Day and to talk about it to other participants, and then give them the opportunity to try it out on the lake. There will be a designated area of the lake where people can paddle various water crafts with a safety boater nearby. When not supervising others who are using your boat, you will have a chance to learn and try out other people’s boats and paddling gear. A group pot luck will begin at 11:30, offering another opportunity to share paddling experiences and opportunities with your fellow boaters from the 3 host paddle clubs: Rocky Mountain Canoe Club, Poudre Paddlers, and the Rocky Mountain Sea Kayak Club.

- a list of everyone in your party
- the boat or boats you plan to bring as well as any other gear you want to show at this event.
We also need people to be safety boaters for an hour so be sure to let us know if you are willing to be a volunteer safety boater.
