After several years of wonderful service to the RMCC, our Webmaster Anne Fiore is finding her work life is elbowing out here “life” life and is stepping down as Webmaster. So we need your help. The current website really runs itself and I’m available to cover most of the necessary elements. But we do need someone to step up. Take a look at Anne’s Job Description and let me know if you can help. She estimates that she’s currently spending only a couple of hours a month on the job.
(1) when issues arise with the RMCC website, contact clubhosting via their helpdesk ticketing system.
(2) provide support to other folks posting events (such as Bill Ashworth and Kit Williams) as needed though they are very self-sufficient
(3) provide support to the social media editor as needed (though she’s very self sufficient). This person is responsible for the post event postings / photos / writeups on club related activities on the website as well as the facebook page
(4) accounting / bill paying is maintained by Bill Ashworth
(5) periodic update of records related to our URL (I can forward an sample of a recent email)
I have 2 documents related to the website I can provdie
(6) We also allow people to have logins to post questions, sale of equipment, personal trip information (like Mat B) and other paddling related postings. There is some maintenance around this but Bill A has a wonderful ‘how to’ document.
We also have a google group that serves as a listserver. Early on in the rollout of the clubhosting site, people indicated a preference to simply email the group as opposed to logging into the website
