Gunnison River
May 12, 2018 – May 13, 2018
Join us as we paddle the beautiful Gunnison River from Escalante to Whitewater (Sat 5/12 thru Sun 5/13). It is a 26 miles trip ( add a mile more to highway 141 bridge) with one Class II rapid, so helmets required on this ACA trip. We will camp somewhere below Dominguez canyon to make for a shorter second day, to avoid wind issues.
Contact trip coordinator Mat Bozek to sign up or for information. This is generally a beginner friendly river, but has one potentially difficult rapid, which can be portaged or perhaps lined thru a rock garden.
