Meander Canyon, Colorado river in Canyonlands National Park, August 12-16. This 50 mile stretch of class 1 water with spectacular views is in the Colorado river canyon, meeting the Green river at the confluence in Canyonlands National park. Side trips can include petrified logs, various ruins, petroglyphs, and other hikes.
We end the trip at Spanish bottom where there is no road access. We will use Tag-a-long for the jet boat return. They charge $187 for the jet boat which includes the boat transport charge. There will also be a $20 per person fee for the Canyonlands river permit Possible minor group charges if we rent equipment (groover, etc.). RMCC trip, ACA membership or $5 for insurance is required.
Update: Colorado river – Potash to Spanish bottom Aug 12 thru 16. A couple more people could still be included in this trip. The logistics have changed slightly. Tag-a long is now a part of Canyonlands by Day or Night. They will be providing our shuttle.
