Macintosh Lake, in NW Longmont,  makes a great casual evening paddle. Views of Longs Peak as the sun sets are great. Stroke practice and paddle exercise is possible or simply enjoy a casual conversational paddle. 

Plan to launch at 6 pm. We will paddle around the lake once or twice, depending on the desires of the group. We will be off the water before dark. Launch along the south side of the lake from Lakeshore Dive, Longmont, CO 80503. (near the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Harbor Lane) 

The lake is a popular evening spot, so be sure to arrive in enough time to unload your boat and re-park your car (there is a 15 minute loading area and then parking along the road a bit further away.) Wheels are desirable if you have them, but not essential– there is usually someone to help carry your boat from the loading area or share their wheels!

This is an ACA paddle, so membership, or a one time $10 event fee is required.

With unpredictable afternoon weather, coordinator will confirm–or cancel–around 4 pm. So, be sure to RSVP  if you plan to paddle.
