Trip is full, with wait-list.
This will be a weekday trip with a put in at Potash on Tuesday, September 10th and pick up, by jet boat, Friday, September 13th.
Meander Canyon, on the Colorado River, is the often neglected third leg of the Canyonlands flatwater trilogy. Probably a step down from Stillwater, but on a par with Labyrinth. For those who have done Stillwater Canyon of the Green River, Meander Canyon is the canyon the jet boat travels to bring people back up to Moab from Spanish Bottom following a Stillwater Canyon trip. We will see petrified logs, petroglyphs, and ruins.
An advantage of a Meander Canyon trip is the jet boat can pick you up just about anywhere on the river that the water is deep enough for the jet boat. So, mileage can be adjustable.
Randy Purrett (purrettrandall2@outlook.com) and Karen Amundson (canoekarena@msn.com) are co-coordinating the trip. (Shuttle reservations need to be made by May 31.)
